Pensioners & Veterans
AudioHearing Melbourne offers a FREE full range of hearing services to eligible pensioners and veterans/DVA cardholders as part of the Commonwealth Hearing Services Program.
These services include
- FREE comprehensive hearing assessments
- FREE digital hearing aids or alternative assistive listening devices
- Subsidised advanced digital hearing aids
- Hearing aid maintenance for a small annual charge, which covers all batteries and repairs
- Regular hearing checks to monitor any changes in hearing levels
- Training to improve listening and communication skills
You are eligible to apply for a hearing services voucher if you are an Australian Citizen or permanent resident, over 26 years of age and you are:
- a Pensioner concession card holder
- receiving sickness allowance from Centrelink
- a DVA Gold Repatriation Health Card holder
- a DVA White Repatriation Health Card holder specifying hearing loss
- dependants of a person in one of the above categories
- members of the Australian Defence Forces
- referred client of an Australian Government funded vocational rehabilitation service
