Our vision
A world where hearing loss is no limitation.
Our mission
We challenge conventions and push the limits of technology to change the lives of people with hearing loss.
Founded on care
In 1904, Hans Demant helped his wife Camilla with one of the world’s first electronic hearing aids – launching a legacy of life-changing technology that endures to this day. More than 120 years later, Oticon’s position as a world leader in audiology is a testament to our philosophy of care through innovation.
Our technology has helped countless people all over the world with their hearing loss, and our groundbreaking discoveries into the human brain continue to redefine what is possible. But we’re just getting started. Oticon is proudly committed to realising our vision of a world where hearing loss is truly no limitation.
Open and curious
Oticon never stops exploring and learning about hearing loss. We work continuously with over 13,000 hearing aid users and hearing care professionals, who help us understand what people need and desire.
What is more, we conduct leading scientific research at our research centre, Eriksholm. Here, our discoveries show us how we can do things differently and develop the hearing technology of the future.
Our unique BrainHearing philosophy
We think differently about hearing loss: We start with the brain. This is because you actually hear with your brain – not with your ears.
By understanding how the brain makes sense of sound, we can help people more effectively with hearing aids. Moreover, we can understand how to protect the brain from hearing loss-related risks such as cognitive decline.
A technology pioneer
At Oticon, we are always pushing the limits of technology so we can improve the lives of people with hearing loss.
Our innovations come from setting the bar higher. While others settle for directional hearing, we have pioneered 360° open sound.
In fact, we always aim to achieve the impossible – and we challenge conventions to get there. We believe this is what makes us technology leaders of our industry.
Devoted to hearing aid users
We are passionate about making life easier for people with hearing loss, from the moment they discover it – and every moment after.
Because we deeply understand the needs of modern hearing aid users, our hearing aids and accessories take sound quality to the next level. They increase speech understanding, reduce listening effort — and they’re easy to use every day.
Committed to hearing care professionals
It takes a skilled expert to understand your unique hearing needs and tailor your hearing aids to match. That’s why Oticon hearing aids only come to life in the hands of trusted hearing care professionals.
We do everything we can to help your hearing care professional help you. We provide top-quality training, world-leading products, and support every step of the way.
